Littlewoods Poker Review

Summary:

Littlewoods Poker is on the Cryptologic network and is part of one of the UK’s largest leisure companies - i.e. Littlewoods! - as they invented the pools I would say they have a fair bit of experience in running a gaming site. Coupled with their online casino (again Crypto and a very good version of it), you generally find a solid piece of software, good play, reliable games and obviously great security.

Gameplay:

As you would expect Littlewoodspoker.com has a great selection of games, including Texas Holdem, Omaha Hi, Omaha H/L, and 7 Card Stud. You can play No Limit and Pot Limit Texas Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha amonst others. as well as Headhunter tournaments and head to head texas hold em games.

There are a whole range of stakes available at the tables from 0.25/0.50 tables (in all three Littlewoods currencies of GBP, USD and EUR) on up to the big stakes of 150/300 in Holdem, so it suits all types but really really suits the high rollers, but at all levels it is very friendly and has a great range of tutorials and game information.

What I would say though is that because they have the casino and of course the Littlewoods brand, then you do get a lot of newbies coming over and that means fish for the bigger players! Soft competition is definitely here, but most players are at a medium to advanced level.

The tournament selection is very good and they really support every major tournament that Cryptologic put there way with some of the latest tournaments focusing on winning seats at some of the EPT events. However on the otherside everything a tourney player could want is here, from Sit & Go’s, Multi-Table, Lightning games (same as a regular game but MUCH faster!), SixPak (6 players at a table instead of 10)and a nice range of special events.

Deposit/Withdrawal:

Deposing is simple enough at Littlewoods Poker with them accepting most deposit methods, but withdrawals are difficult as they use the ecash system (Cryptologic), once you make your first deposit they will send you an ecash PIN number, this takes time as it is sent by mail and so if you win big early doors you will not be able to withdraw your money for a while - so be warned.

IThe software is very simple and intuitive, lobby is easy to navigate and I like the grpahics and sound. The software is sophisticated enough to offer some really nice features such as a log reviewer (hand history), player locater and Avg Pot & Plrs/4th (the average number of players that are in the hand for the flop) and they do of course have the obligatory chat feature.
