Summary:
Pokerroom.com is the world’s leading non-download poker site which is awesome news for Mac users!!!! It has excellent software with very slick 3D graphics and good playability.
Pokerroom is huge and has tons of traffic moving through the site at all times (upto 2,800 ring game players at peak times) and because of its size there is a lot of soft competition.
In addition to massive amounts of ring game traffic they also have a lot of tournament traffic, with numbers up towards 6,000 at peak times, they also have an excellent community built With their ‘POKAH’ forum.
They generally focus on table sizes of 5-6 players rather than the usual 10 players per table.
Gameplay:
Gameplay is great at Pokerroom, game choices are clearly marked (with hand stats and history easily viewed) and the stakes range up from $.25/$.50 up to $500/$100 (in Omaha and 7 Card Stud). You can play multi-handed tables, private tables, and head to head.
Awesome selection of poker games. Aside from Holdem (Limit, Pot-Limit and No-limit) you’ll find Omaha (Hi & Hi-Lo) and 7 Card Stud (Hi & Hi-Lo). Omaha is also available as Fixed-Limit, Pot-Limit and No-Limit.
Considerable marketing has brought a lot of soft competition to the tables. They do of course tend to stay on the lower stake tables, rather than becoming fish on the higher stakes tables - but if you are a good player then the higher stakes tables are where you will find some stiff competition!

Deposit/Withdrawal:
PokerRoom has a reasonable amount of options for depositing into your account such as Visa, MasterCard, Moneybookers, FirePay, 900Pay, NETeller, Pre-Paid ATM, and InstaCASH (US and Canadian players only).
Withdrawals are by the same method (although remember some credit cards do not allow withdrawals so check with your issuer first). There are no fees unless you have the check couriered.

Software look and feel:
The software is pretty unique looking with 3D images and some fairly cool characters and very easy to use features and functions.
All the information you could want is at your fingertips from hand or table stats and percentages; and all the fun features are built in like chat and note taking.
They are also fairly unique in offering the facility to vote against other players who take too long to play, thus getting them kicked out of the game. The java non-download version allows Mac, Linux and those who are unable to download offers a similar level of features.

Support:
No live phone support, which is dissapointing although you will find a very good extensive library of FAQs to get answers to your issues. Really in this day and age with poker being around for as long as it has then it really is expected to have phone support.

Rake:
Pokerroom rake is pretty standard with the industry at 5% of the pot with a maximum of $3.

Incentives:
Really due to the traffic levels and the fact they still accept US players, then they should not worry about promotions - but they do still have them. There are daily freerolls, good first deposit bonuses and a whole load of additional promotions to keep you playing - they are big on retention and loyalty.
